Demag manufacturer believes that the bridge is the basic component of the bridge crane, consisting of main beam, end beam, walking platform and other components. There are box type, truss type, web type, round tube type and other structural types for the erection of the main beam in the middle of the span. The two ends of the main beam are connected with the end beam, and the outer side of the two main beams is equipped with a walking platform and safety railings. On one side of the walking platform, there is a crane moving mechanism, and on the other side of the walking platform, there is a device to supply power to the crane electrical equipment, that is, an auxiliary sliding line. A guide rail is paved above the main beam for the trolley to move. The whole bridge crane moves along the guide rail in the length direction of the workshop under the traction of the crane traveling mechanism.
Demag manufacturer believes that the crane running mechanism is composed of crane drive motor, transmission shaft, coupling, reducer, wheel and brake. There are two installation modes: centralized drive and independent drive. The centralized drive is driven by the motor through the reduction mechanism to drive two driving wheels; The two motors drive two drive wheels respectively. The latter is light in weight, convenient in installation and commissioning, and has been proved to be effective in application. At present, most bridge cranes produced in China are driven independently.

The trolley is mainly composed of frame, trolley moving mechanism and lifting mechanism on the frame. The trolley traveling mechanism is composed of trolley motor, brake, coupling, reducer and wheel. The motor drives the trolley drive wheel through the reducer and drives the trolley to move along the guide rail. As the driving wheels of the car are close to each other, it is driven by a motor.
Demag manufacturer believes that the lifting mechanism is composed of lifting motor, reducer, drum, brake and hook. The lifting motor is connected with the reducer through the coupling and brake wheel, and the output shaft of the reducer is connected with the drum winding the wire rope. The other end of the wire rope is equipped with a hook. When the drum rotates, the hook will rise and fall with the winding or unwinding of the wire rope on the drum.
Demag manufacturer believes that the control room is the nacelle of the crane, also known as the cab. In the control room, there are the control devices of the trolley traveling mechanism, the control devices of the lifting mechanism and the protection devices of the crane. Generally, the control room is fixed at one end of the main beam, and a few are installed under the trolley and move with the trolley. There is a hatch leading to the walking platform above the control room, which is used when people repair the mechanical and electrical equipment of the cart and trolley.
Demag manufacturer believes that the bridge crane has three types of motion:
(1) The crane is driven by the crane motor and moves longitudinally back and forth along the rails on both sides of the workshop;
(2) The trolley and lifting mechanism are driven by the trolley motor and move horizontally along the track on the bridge;
(3) When lifting heavy objects, the lifting motor drives them to move up and down vertically.
